Johan is the lead author of <a href=\"\/services\/training\/\">Pro JavaFX 8<\/a>, and is very active in the <a href=\"\/labs\/\">open source community<\/a>. He is the founder and driving force behind <a href=\"http:\/\/www.javafxports.org\">JavaFXPorts<\/a>, which forms the bottom layer of <a href=\"\/products\/mobile\">Gluon Mobile<\/a>, where he coordinates the ports of JavaFX to mobile platforms. Johan has been working on end-to-end Java projects, combining the world of small (mobile and embedded) with the enterprise world. He has worked on numerous software projects since graduating from <a href=\"http:\/\/ktu.edu\/en\">Kaunas Technology University<\/a> in 1990. Eugene is a big proponent of the importance of UX\/UI design, with many years of experience in this area, which he brings to Gluon to drive <a href=\"\/products\/mobile\">Gluon Mobile<\/a>. More recently he has been deeply involved in Java enterprise systems, combining Java EE installations with various data persistence and search solutions. His main expertise is in creating secure communications solutions that are used to synchronize data between clients and servers. Joeri brings this deep knowledge to <a href=\"\/products\/cloudlink\">Gluon CloudLink<\/a>. He has strong expertise in integrating enterprise components, including social media networks. He has led a number of high-volume projects that required load-balancing and fail-over support, running on Java enterprise technologies. He works at Microsoft as a Principal Software Architect for Java on Microsoft Azure. On top of this, Jonathan is a Java Champion, and well-regarded as an influential member of the Java community. Jonathan received his Bachelor of Engineering Honours undergraduate degree (majoring in Software Engineering) from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massey.ac.nz\">Massey University<\/a> in New Zealand, and subsequently followed that up with a Masters of Science in Computer Science.
